Replugged!!!!

I decided to become "unplugged" last month...and I have to admit, I kind of liked it! So much life to enjoy, and it is nice not to have your head buried in a computer....it got so bad that I even quit checking email...that is when I decided I was going off the deep end and it was time to rejoin my blogging friends and catch up on life in blog land!  And I do miss documenting all the fun things that happen on a a daily basis....I don't have time today to catch up on a VERY BUSY month of activities but will leave you with some bullets and will come back soon to follow up with more fun pics and words.  It was an action packed month and a very good one to be unplugged.  The rest of the country doesn't realize that Mardi Gras literally shuts our city down for about a week, and truth be told, two weeks in New Orleans!  Schools are out for the entire week and needless to say, little is getting done the week before as pre-parties and preparations are taking up much of every one's time.  But not only did I have Mardi Gras to contend with,  we had Valentines's Day, Ellen's birthday, took a college tour of Sewanee College and Vanderbilt University, Elizabeth came in for Spring Break and brought three friends from college for her Spring break (the week after Mardi Gras!) Sara ran and place third in the Indoor State Track meet, and the rest of life in general....homework, getting ready for Ellen's play (I am in charge of sponsors) readying my garden for Spring, you know the drill! Anyway, I am now "plugged back in" and I hope I didn't lose ALL my followers!!!!! I am going to go catch up on all my blogging friend's blogs and get back in the game.....glad to be back!

  4. Nice to have you back - and the photographs are wonderful. I live in India and my roots are in Goa - thanks to previous Portuguese occupation we have the Carnival too (pre-Lent). I've never lived in Goa or experienced the Carnival though. Seems like you had a wonderful break!

    1. I am familiar with Brazilian Carnival as my sister lived in Brazil and told me all about it. We visited her but did not get to go at that time! I am facinated with India..do you have a blog? I don't have an Indian friend with a blog but I would love to find one! Thanks for visiting! More to come on Mardi Gras when time permits.

  6. Welcome back! I can understand the desire to disconnect and admire that you did. It is easy to become sucked into this world....and forget that there is real living to be done. The photos are amazing. And we don't celebrate Mardi Gras like it is down there.

  9. I love that quote. People many times in life wait for situations in order to do the things that will make them happy. Why wait? Find your happiness now.
